InnerMovement Wellness will be sponsoring another family-in-need from Bienvenidos Children's Center this Holiday Season and we need your help!
The family we've adopted have been stuck in the cycle of abuse for many years...until now. This is why we chose this courageous mother who has decided to move herself and her 2 young boys to safety. With barely the means to make it day-to-day, this mother had no plans for Christmas this year. InnerMovement Wellness, with the help of our Social Worker sponsor, and our generous patients, will bring Christmas dinner and gifts to this local family.
If you would like to participate, please bring gifts or gift cards to our office no later than Friday December 21st.

About Bienvenidos Children's Center:
Bienvenidos Children's Center, located in East Los Angeles, covers a wide geographical area in the East L.A. area where many of the families are low in resources, living in crowded living situations with children sleeping on the floor, eating poor diets, are often sick, have little clothing, and many other challenges. Due to the extreme need for services in our area, there is usually a 2-4 month waiting list for services to get started and many of the children are court-referred due to domestic violence situations. Referrals also come from schools where their regular counseling services are just not enough to address frequent disruptive behavior in the classroom. Some of the children suffer from post-traumatic stress due to witnessing extreme violence in the home, and others are very aggressive in their behavior. Many of the teens struggle with drug abuse, with the use of dangerous substances, such as inhalants.
As a nonprofit, community-based organization, Bienvenidos fulfills its mission by delivering a comprehensive array of services that empower children and their families, are culturally responsive, and are effective models of prevention and intervention. This holistic approach to healing families is reflected in such services as foster care, mental health therapy, community health clinics, school readiness, youth development, family preservation programs, parenting classes, substance abuse and domestic violence prevention and treatment.
